Do any of these apply to you?

    • Brain fog
    • Bloating

What is FDN?

Functional Diagnostic Nutrition (FDN) is a type of detective work that seeks to identify the underlying causes of disease instead of treating symptoms. Using functional lab work, we identify healing opportunities and engage each client in a health building process using the potent, proven, professional protocols in our D.R.E.S.S. for Health Success program. This includes Diet, Rest, Exercise, Supplements and Stress Reduction. This natural, holistic approach yields the highest level of positive clinical outcomes. We don’t medicate, we educate!

Uncover the root causes of your health complaints with my Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® (FDN) approach.

Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® (FDN) 6 step approach

Comprehensive Intake Process

Healing opportunities are identified by looking at a very detailed health history and correlating them with results from well-chosen labs.

Functional Lab Work

Don’t guess. Test. Functional lab tests will help identify malfunctions and H.I.D.D.E.N. stressors that take the guesswork out of identifying healing opportunities within the Hormone, Immune, Digestion, Detoxification, Energy Production and Nervous System.

Personalized Protocol

Our bodies are always striving to restore health, every hour, every minute, every second of the day. We encourage the body’s innate ability to heal in our suggested protocol for Diet, Rest, Exercise, Stress reduction, and Supplementation (D.R.E.S.S. for Health Success).

Education

The FDN philosophy, “we don’t medicate, we educate”. We have a choice to opt in to self-care whereby we are taking a proactive approach to return our bodies to a state of ease versus the alternative, a state of dis-ease in the medical model.

Support

Support is a very critical component to your health journey. Making lifestyle changes can be emotionally difficult so it’s important you have a support unit.

Commitment

Unlike our modern day quick fixes and instant gratification, our approach is one that will require a certain level of commitment.

My Story

9
Fatigued, moody, brain fog, easily irritated, poor digestion, troubled marriage, emotional, bloated, zapped of energy, negative disposition with a dark cloud hanging over my head…this USED TO BE me. Not anymore. Thanks to what I LEARNED and what I DID, I put my symptoms related to Hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s in remission…NATURALLY.

During my time trying to build a finance career and indulging in the Bermuda island nightlife I became very run down. I felt a debilitating fatigue and was sick often. I went to the doctor who ran a few tests. At the age of 37, I was diagnosed with Epstein bar virus, urinary tract infection and hypothyroidism. It took months to feel somewhat normal again through rest and medication. I would go on a regular basis like I was asked to have my TSH check so my thyroid medication could be adjusted. This is an all too familiar story I hear about how our health is treated and monitored today. I carried on this way for years, having increased medication and relapsed Epstein bar virus attacks.

I decided it was time to move out of the island life so I headed to NYC. I wasn’t quite ready to go back to my homeland in Nova Scotia, Canada!

9
I wasn’t in NY long before I met Don, now my husband. We were older and decided we wanted to build a life together. Given our age we moved quickly. Married after our first year together followed by our first child one year after our marriage. I was adjusting as a first time mommy with our 1-year-old son while struggling with hypothyroidism. I had no energy, debilitating fatigue, and a “dark cloud” over my head that on some days turned into a storm of emotions. My husband decided he wanted out.
9
Desperate to feel good again, I started looking for answers as to WHY I was feeling this way. I discovered a possible solution and made a commitment to put it to the test. IT WORKED.
9
It changed my life forever. Not only does my blood work prove it, so does my happy marriage, happy mommy of two boys, and vibrant energy. It’s all proof that I put my thyroid symptoms into remission. How did I do it? By learning a great deal about our disease, following a strict nutrition protocol, exercising daily, and a supplement protocol. I learned a great deal about our disease and fought back. Was it easy? NO. Was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY. Has my life improved? MORE THAN YOU CAN EVER IMAGINE.
9
My goal is to help anyone who can relate to what I’m saying. If you’re in a place of feeling like CRAP all the time because of symptoms, I want to help you. The problem I have found with a large MAJORITY of people is that many do not have the knowledge or coaching/accountability to make the lifestyle change that is required to take back control of their life. Most also don’t believe that LIFESTYLE changes can actually make the difference for them. It does. The life you lead can be healthy, full of energy, and largely symptom-free. With a bit of willpower and accountability to yourself (and perhaps your kids/family), I will HELP YOU turn things around.
9
I was so passionate about my results that I quit my NYC finance career and pursued this passion. First, completing my fitness and nutrition certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine followed by becoming certified as a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner. Now I want to share that passion with you.
